The Presenter's Checklist

One of my favorite subjects to train on is presentation/platform skills. I have never met a sales rep (Me included!) who was never afraid to take the stage or make the sales presentation. However, it takes a lot of practice and preparation to be fully prepared to make the coveted impact: influencing the customer to take action.

I have included this course, The Presenter's Checklist, for your review. It is one that I have enjoyed and tweaked over the years and I have presented the base elements in this online course I have built especially for you!

To see what this course entails and a very brief snapshot of my ability with technology please follow this link:

The Presenter's Checklist

But please come back to review the other elements I have provided below!

Note: In the event the above link does not work, here is the course in PDF format.

Coaching

Here is a sample of a training class I built for sales managers. It is all about the 'Crucial Conversation,' how to approach it and the importance of having it. I have received a lot of positive ratings for this training class. It is very satisfying to see new managers increase their ability to have the hard conversation as we progress through the different role-plays.

I  created this course to be a conversation, not just a presentation. The idea is to have less of an information download. Instead, using progressively difficult role-plays as I build the outline of the crucial conversation technique, and then a dissection of those performances to find the opportunities for improvement.

i.e. we will role play a challenging conversation early to demonstrate that it is a difficult task and how it takes practice to add this skill to their management toolbox!

In addition, I created the 'Fill in the Blank' (FIB) handout to go along with the class. This allows participants to leave with the pertinent take-aways and keeps their attention by actively listening for the FIB answers!

Project Presentation

I wanted to share some insight as to how I have implemented a project. I am a big believer in the 'Trusted Advisor' idea. Here is a presentation on a project that I completed at a former career stop. I believe it highlights my thought process and how go about completing a project.

This presentation provides the foundational ideas I use for project management and also an actual project. I look forward to walkng you through this presenation in person!

Leading from the Front

Finally, I wanted to show you a quick snippet of video. I won the Toastmasters Divisional speech contest with this effort, against 6 finalists from 4 western area states.

This presentation is a response to a speaker who gave a test speech. I have found that being able to quickly provide a detailed evaluation of a performance has been valuable as a trainer. Especially to sales reps once they finish a role-play or a client call.

As a trainer and evaluator, I always find the highlights, the details and a few things to work on and then provide some suggestions as to how to implement them. Enjoy!

Here is a picture of me and the 1st place trophy!
