About Clayton P.

Leadership

Management experience also includes heading up the executive management team by managing a staff of 15 in a small business. Clayton also served in the U.S. Army as an Engineering officer and this enabled him to gain vital leadership and management experience through a myriad of projects and personnel situations.

Clayton recently directed a national sales training department that set the training initiatives for a sales force of 200 in multiple business units. There was a strong need to quickly update the initial sales training curriculum. Clayton worked alongside his training team and company stakeholders to create dynamic and hands-on training classes that received overwhelming positive reviews.

At Marketstar, Clayton served as the West Region Sales Manager to a team of 12 sales representatives. Clayton was successful in quickly reshaping the mindset of the sale team led to sales achievement that had never been reached by this team.

In a volunteer leadership role, Clayton served as the Chapter President of the Lone Peak Toastmasters club and the chapter realized 25% membership growth under his leadership. In addition, the club won the highest honor,Presidents Club Distinguished, twice under his leadership.

Clayton believes in a positive and upbeat business environment with an emphasis on communication, training, and bringing value to staff, vendors, and customers. This style of management enables him to help teams and businesses he partners with grow exponentially in multiple areas.

Business Development

Clayton is a seasoned business professional with a background in military leadership, small business ownership, and a successful track record in sales and business development.

Clayton has an extensive knowledge of medical practices, due to his time as a professional sales representative for 10 years at Allergan.

After 3 years in Ophthalmology, Clayton expanded his experience as he served in multiple positions in the Facial Aesthetics division. He worked on the launch and sales development of multiple products in many practices and brings these skills and experiences to his customers and their staff. He won Leadership council 5 times and Presidents club twice while at Allergan.

He spent four years honing his business management skills as the co-owner of a small company in Salt Lake City. This experience gave Clayton valuable insight and experience as to how the ‘business’ side of a company works. As a professional sales manager he uses this knowledge as a valuable resource to his teams and the customer.

Training

Reinforced by his days in the military, Clayton focuses heavily on staff training and has worked closely with vendors to ensure teams are well educated on the latest in techniques and product offerings. Clayton also taught multiples courses through the education division of the small business that focused on customer service and consultative-selling techniques.

Clayton recently lead the aesthetics training team for a pharmaceutical company. He and the team focused heavily on revamping the new-hire training programs with great success. Training satisfaction survey results improved to 98% satisfied with the new program!

Clayton looks forward to continuing the opportunity of training teams and staff through coaching and a hands-on approach. Clayton likes to bring a fun and interactive dynamic to his training with an engaging and interactive style.

Personally, Clayton enjoys fitness, photography, and the outdoors with his wife, JP, and their 3 boys. He recently purchased a sweet electric guitar and is actively learning how to Rock.
